AMU GIRLS SCHOOL ALIGARH

Brief History of AMU GIRLS SCHOOL ALIGARH

AMU-Girls-School

The AMU Girls School, established by Padam Bhushan Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, affectionately known as Papa Mian, is a prestigious institution dedicated to the education of girls in our country. The primary objective behind its establishment was to provide equal educational opportunities for girls, especially those belonging to the Muslim community, enabling them to actively contribute to the growth and development of our nation. The school prides itself on imparting modern education across various fields of knowledge.

Currently, the AMU Girls’ School boasts an enrollment of over 2,500 students, ranging from Class I to XII. It strives to provide a well-rounded educational experience by not only focusing on academics but also offering sports facilities and other essential amenities to its students. Additionally, the school maintains a dispensary to ensure the healthcare needs of the students are met effectively.

Within a remarkably short span of three months, the school witnessed the enrollment of approximately 50 girls. Interestingly, a significant majority of these girls hail from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, as the more affluent families were still hesitant about educating their daughters. However, after a thorough inspection, the government expressed satisfaction with the school’s operations and granted a monthly aid of Rs. 250, along with an infrastructure fund of Rs. 17,000.

The AMU Girls’ School stands as a shining testament to the power of education in transforming lives and bridging societal gaps. Through its relentless pursuit of academic excellence and holistic development, it equips its students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become empowered individuals, contributing positively to the progress of our nation.
